The research vice-chancellors of Qom University of Technology and Hazrat Masoumeh University held a meeting with the CEO of Iran Merinos Factory regarding the collaboration between industry and academia.
According to the university's public relations, this meeting emphasized the significant role of industry-academia interaction in overcoming production obstacles. It was explained how universities can support and back production in any collaborative model with the industry, including defining applied theses, research opportunities in industry and society, internships, and the execution of research projects.
Engineer Jalali, the CEO of Iran Merinos Factory, pointed out that the company's challenge is the supply of skilled human resources and the lack of textile courses in the province. He stated that universities play a crucial role in connecting with industry and their growth, and academic knowledge can be utilized to pave the way for better days in the industry.
In the continuation of this meeting, Dr. Ghanbari and Dr. Zamani highlighted the potentials of Qom University of Technology and Hazrat Masoumeh University in addressing the issues faced by industrialists.
To further the discussion and implement the agreed-upon topics, it was decided that the next meeting would be held in the second phase of the company located in Shahkot Industrial Town, and a memorandum of understanding for the Industry Collaborative Project would be drafted and concluded.
Following this meeting, the attendees visited the spinning facility of Iran Merinos.
