With the presence of Dr. Ebtekar, the Vice President and Head of the Department of Environment, the event was held at Qom Industrial University.

According to the Public Relations Office of Qom University of Technology: A seminar titled "From Political Development to Environmental Development" was held on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 2, 2015, organized by the Islamic Association of the university, with the presence of Dr. Masoumeh Ebtekar, Vice President of Iran, Dr. Esmail Rostami, Deputy for Management Development and Human Resources of the Standard State, Dr. Qari Quran, Deputy Mayor, Dr. Khoshnevisan, President of Qom University of Technology, and a gathering of faculty members and university students.
At the beginning of the session, Dr. Bahram Khoshnevisan referred to Ms. Dr. Ebtekar's student activities, calling her an active and hardworking individual and stated: Ms. Dr. Ebtekar was recognized as one of the key figures in opposing imperialism since her student days.
The President of Qom University of Technology emphasized the essential connection between industry and the environment, noting: The advancement of any country requires interactions and compatibility among various organizations, and in this regard, the interactions between the industrial cycle and the environmental and ecological cycle are of particular importance.
Dr. Khoshnevisan stated that Qom University of Technology aims to spearhead the country's industrial activities in an environmentally friendly manner, and in this context, initial steps of this program were taken through a meeting with Dr. Ebtekar and a group of university professors.
Furthermore, Mohammad Khajeh Sani, Secretary of the Islamic Association of the university, characterized students as creative, sensitive, and analytical individuals. He added: For a student to make informed decisions and choices, they must gain deeper insights through study.
Zahra Biadi, a representative from the IRIB News Agency, and Ategh Mousavi, Manager of the Environmental Network of Qom Province, discussed the positive points and environmental attractions of Qom Province, as well as the existing shortcomings and challenges in this area.
Next, Dr. Masoumeh Ebtekar, referencing the month of Muharram, stated: The uprising of Imam Hussein (PBUH) serves as a model not only for student movements but also for every free person, and the philosophy of freedom, liberation, and emancipation from humiliation against the enemy is inspired by the philosophy of Ashura.
The Vice President of Iran stated that the Iranian movement was initially aligned with these principles, adding: At that time, I was a student at Qom University of Technology and was closely involved in student movements based on resistance against imperialism and the guidelines of Imam Khomeini (RA).
She continued: Today, we can claim that Dr. Rouhani handled the JCPOA while adhering to all the red lines and with the approval of the Supreme Leader, resolving the nuclear dispute between Iran and the 1+5 led by the United States and successfully moving past the issue of sanctions.
The Head of the Department of Environmental Protection regarded the commendation of the Supreme Leader for the Foreign Minister and the negotiating team as a sign of victory for this team and added: The foreign policy framework adopted by the eleventh government represents a rational and balanced approach to this issue.
This seminar concluded with students' questions directed at Dr. Ebtekar.
