The First Conference on Creativity and Innovation

According to the university's public relations: The first Creativity and Innovation Conference, organized by the Talented Individuals Association, was held on Tuesday, 28/11/92 from 13:30 to 15:00 in the amphitheater auditorium, in the presence of Dr. Moshkoi Al-Sadat, the university president, Engineer Afradi, the deputy of the Talented Individuals Foundation of the province, faculty members, and students.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Moshkoi Al-Sadat announced the establishment of an Industry and University House. He added that soon, with the interactions made with the Industry and Mine Organization, the Industry and University House will be launched with the goal of increasing communication between students and faculty and industry, as well as creating job opportunities for students. The Talented Individuals Association has a significant responsibility in executing this program. With the support of faculty members, this association should enhance the connection between students and industry.

He stated: It is an honor that the devices and laboratory equipment that were previously imported into the country are now produced by Iranian students, and it is hoped that with the support of us officials and faculty, through collaboration and cooperation, the students of Qom Industrial University will also achieve remarkable accomplishments so that we may contribute even a small step to the advancement of our dear Iran.

Dr. Ghanbari, the student deputy, then delivered a speech on creativity. He identified the greatest barriers to creativity as a misunderstanding of creativity, fear of failure, and considered innovation as the foundation of creativity.

Finally, Engineer Afradi, the deputy of the Talented Individuals Foundation of the province, referred to the activities of this foundation. He stated that the number of identified talented individuals in the province is 300. Engineer Afradi added that talented students can utilize the facilities of growth centers, knowledge-based companies, and the scientific and technological vice presidency of the presidency, in addition to the Talented Individuals Foundation, to make their innovative ideas practical.
This ceremony concluded with the presentation of a commemorative plaque to Engineer Afradi.
