First Virtual Meeting of Industry Liaison Office Managers

The first virtual meeting of the directors of industry liaison offices at the universities of the province took place on Sunday, November 1, with the topic of coordination and the exchange of successful experiences among the university offices, organized by the industry liaison office of Qom University of Technology.
According to the public relations report from the university, at the beginning of this meeting, Dr. Ghanbari, the Vice Chancellor for Educational Affairs at Qom University of Technology, emphasized the importance of teamwork and highlighted the need for coordination among the provincial universities in the field of industry relations. He pointed out that the provincial sessions of university-industry relations should lead to an operational agenda, along with operational actionable proposals and solutions that can be implemented.
 Following this, Dr. Rasti, the Director of Industry Relations at Qom University of Technology, provided explanations regarding the sessions held last year and their resolutions (the main points being as follows):
* Identification of the needs of industrial units by the Industry, Mining, and Trade Organization and presenting them to universities, as well as following up on thesis completion, research projects, or study opportunities.
* Providing necessary incentives in the area of industry-university relations.
* The necessity of establishing knowledge-based companies and innovation, growth, and technology centers in universities.
* A mandate for purpose-driven framework adjustments towards demand orientation and utilizing the capabilities of the Sata System, as well as empowerment programs for students such as entrepreneurship clubs or career guidance, in which universities should engage in these areas.
* Sending the industrial resumes of faculty members to the secretariat and announcing the incentives considered by universities in the field of industry relations.
Furthermore, Dr. Bayesteh from Qom University and Dr. Abai from Shahab Danesh University elaborated on the actions taken, challenges, and existing barriers regarding the subjects of the meeting.
