According to the memorandum of cooperation between the Strategic Studies Center of the Presidency and the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology regarding the establishment of provincial think tanks in universities, Dr. Mohammad Sadigh Akhoondi has been appointed as the "Director of the Provincial Think Tank" in Qom province by Hossein Dastgheib, the caretaker of the Strategic Studies Center of the Presidency, and Seyed Zia Hashemi, the Deputy Minister of Cultural and Social Affairs of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
Dr. Akhoondi stated in an interview with the university's public relations that the establishment of the provincial think tank presents an excellent opportunity for greater familiarity among provincial elites and experts, adding that one of the goals of the provincial think tank is to nationalize the elite plans within the provinces. This means that the best projects in each province will reach the Strategic Studies Center and the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology through this think tank, and after necessary evaluations, they will acquire the capacity for practical implementation at the national level.
