According to the public relations office of the university: The custodian of the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (sa) said: Thanks to the sacred shrine of the noble lady of the Ahlulbayt (sa), Qom has returned to its original identity. Therefore, every organization and institution, including universities, must pay attention to this matter in Qom and pursue their work based on the identity of this city.
Ayatollah Seyed Mohammad Saeedi, during a meeting with the officials of Qom University of Technology, which took place in the holy shrine's prayer hall, referred to Hazrat Masoumeh (sa) as a migrant towards God and stated: Thanks to the sacred shrine of the noble lady of the Ahlulbayt (sa), Qom has returned to its original identity. Therefore, every organization and institution, including the university, must pay attention to this matter in Qom and pursue their work based on the identity of this city.
He emphasized that training skilled engineers is the primary mission of the university and added: If a student is studying in Qom, they must be educated in accordance with the characteristics of Qom, so they can provide special service to the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the future.
The custodian of the noble lady of the Ahlulbayt (sa) stated that pursuing ideals and respecting sanctities should not be seen as mere pretense, adding: University officials and professors must behave in such a way that the younger generation learns the correct method of protecting and safeguarding the revolution through their actions and demeanor.
He referred to the Islamic system as a product of the blood of martyrs and said: The robust tree of the Islamic system continues to grow and move forward, but we must strive to uphold its values and protect this sturdy tree.
Dr. Jalal Rezaei Nour, president of Qom University of Technology, also mentioned during this meeting the high academic level of the university's faculty, stating: By the grace of God and the blessings of the noble lady of the Ahlulbayt (sa), this university has achieved significant scientific and research accomplishments in the ten years since its inception. Presenting 12 innovative projects at the university's innovation center, securing the second place in scientific and research competitions in submarine construction, winning a special prize at the Geneva International Inventors' Fair, and introducing new approaches to enhance the cooperation between industry and academia are part of the activities of Qom University of Technology over the past decade.
He added: Regarding industry, the existence of factories and industrial zones in the province has created a strategic position for the holy city of Qom. Additionally, the presence of esteemed religious authorities and seminaries has transformed this sacred city into the capital of religious and Quranic sciences. Therefore, Qom province has unique characteristics, and institutions operating in this province should give special attention to these features.
The president of Qom University of Technology noted that this university, with 90 staff members and 57 faculty members, pursues the education of two thousand students in various fields of study.
He stated that cultural discussions are taken into consideration alongside the scientific discussions at Qom University of Technology and emphasized: Promoting Quranic sciences and the concepts of hijab and chastity are among the cultural issues focused on at this university.
