Increase of quota and internet speed at Qom University of Technology

According to the public relations office of Qom University of Technology, in line with enhancing information technology services and improving communication infrastructures, the internet quota and speed for faculty members, staff, and students at Qom University of Technology have been increased.

Ms. Fariduni, the head of the Information Technology Development, Security, and Smartization Department at Qom University of Technology, announced this news and said:

With the aim of facilitating access to online services for university members and providing an appropriate environment for educational and research activities, as of October 12, 2025, the internet quota and speed of the university have been significantly increased. Accordingly, the internet speed has been upgraded from 100 Mbps to 200 Mbps.


Additionally, based on these changes:

Doctoral students' internet quota:  increased from 2 GB per month to 10 GB per week.

Master's degree students:  increased from 1 GB per month to 7 GB per week.

Bachelor's degree students:  increased from 500 MB per month to 4 GB per week.

She added: The internet quota will be updated weekly, and there will be no option to carry over unused quota to the following weeks.

Ms. Fariduni concluded by emphasizing that this initiative is aimed at achieving the university's smartization goals and increasing the satisfaction of the academic community, with its continuation dependent on effective consumption management.
