Meeting of the President of Qom University of Technology with the Representative of the People of Qom in the Islamic Consultative Assembly

According to the Public Relations Office of Qom University of Technology, Dr. Jafar Ghanbari, President of Qom University of Technology, accompanied by members of the university’s Board of Directors, met with Hojjat al-Islam and Muslimin Mojtaba Zonnouri, Representative of the people of Qom in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, for a discussion.

During the meeting, Dr. Ghanbari presented a report on the educational, research, and administrative status of Qom University of Technology, outlining the university’s key capacities, achievements, issues, and challenges. He emphasized the need to address the university’s infrastructural and developmental requirements.

The President of Qom University of Technology further identified the shortage of educational, welfare, and administrative facilities, limited financial resources and budget allocations, the need to strengthen the university’s infrastructure, and the need to equip and modernize research and laboratory facilities as among the university’s most pressing requirements.

Referring to the role of Qom University of Technology in training specialized human resources and advancing scientific and technological activities, he also emphasized the need to establish the necessary conditions for making maximum use of the university’s capacities in addressing the scientific, industrial, and technological needs of the province and the country.

The meeting continued with a review of the existing capacities of Qom University of Technology and ways to strengthen legal and executive support for the university. Discussions were also held on leveraging the capacities of members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly and provincial executive bodies to follow up on the university’s issues, secure the necessary resources and infrastructure, and facilitate the implementation of development projects.

Hojjat al-Islam and Muslimin Mojtaba Zonnouri also emphasized the important role of universities in the scientific and technological development of the country and highlighted the significance of the capacities of Qom University of Technology. He stressed the need to follow up on the university’s issues and requirements and to make use of available capacities to help remove obstacles and create the necessary conditions for the development of the university’s scientific, educational, and research activities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Representative of the People of Qom Province in the Islamic Consultative Assembly emphasized the continuation of cooperation and interaction with the province’s relevant institutions, with the aim of following up on the university’s issues, removing obstacles, creating an appropriate environment for infrastructure development, and enhancing the university’s scientific and research standing.
