**Commemoration Ceremony for Teachers' Day and Recognition of Distinguished Educators Held at Qom University of Technology**
A ceremony commemorating **Teachers' Day** and honoring the University's distinguished educators was held at Qom University of Technology with the participation of the University's Board of Directors and a number of faculty members.
During the event, outstanding faculty members were recognized for their valuable contributions and excellence in teaching, in appreciation of their dedication to advancing education and academic quality at the University.
According to the Public Relations Office of Qom University of Technology, during the ceremony, Dr. Jafar Ghanbari, President of Qom University of Technology, congratulated the University's faculty members on the occasion of **Teachers' Day** and paid tribute to the invaluable role of educators. He expressed his appreciation for the significant contributions of faculty members to the University's scientific, cultural, and research development, stating: "Our faculty members have always been the driving force behind the University's academic progress and cultural excellence, and their continued dedication will pave the way for an even brighter future for Qom University of Technology."
Referring to the challenges and achievements of **2025**, Dr. Ghanbari noted that, like many other institutions across the country, the University faced various difficulties throughout the year. Nevertheless, despite these challenges, it succeeded in achieving significant accomplishments across multiple areas, laying a strong foundation for future growth and development.
He identified the acquisition of the University's official land ownership deed as one of the most significant achievements of the past year, emphasizing that this milestone was realized after years of continuous efforts by successive University administrations. According to him, this achievement will facilitate the future expansion of the University's educational, research, and physical infrastructure.
Dr. Ghanbari also announced that the University's Vice Presidency for Administrative and Financial Affairs had completed the preparation and follow-up of the University's capital development budget proposal. He further stated that, with the approval of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, authorization had been granted for the establishment of the **Faculty of Engineering and Technology**, describing it as an important step toward strengthening the University's academic and educational capacities.
Emphasizing the vital role of philanthropists in the advancement of higher education, he invited benefactors and charitable organizations to actively support the development of the University's educational, scientific, and research facilities.
Highlighting the University's recent academic and technological achievements, Dr. Ghanbari noted that its outstanding performance in the **National Technological Sports Olympiad**, including securing **first place nationwide in Informatics**, reflects the high level of expertise and capability of the University's faculty members, staff, and students.
He also stressed the need for transformation in higher education, stating that traditional educational approaches alone are no longer sufficient to meet future demands. Universities, he said, should move toward **skill-based, short-term, and market-oriented education** to better prepare students for employment and professional success.
Dr. Ghanbari concluded by emphasizing that the design and implementation of specialized programs through continuing education and online learning initiatives can play a significant role in strengthening collaboration between the University and industry while responding more effectively to the evolving needs of the labor market.
