The ninth International Conference on Mathematical Physics in Iran was held online, hosted by Qom University of Technology, with the participation of researchers, professors, and enthusiasts in the field of basic sciences.
According to the Public Relations Office of Qom University of Technology, during the opening ceremony of this conference, Dr. Ghanbari, the university president, welcomed the participants and considered the holding of this scientific event as a valuable opportunity for exchanging ideas and expanding the frontiers of knowledge. He emphasized the vital role of basic sciences, including physics and mathematics, in enhancing the scientific and technological infrastructure of the country, stating that basic sciences play a fundamental role in the growth and flourishing of technical and engineering sciences and are the foundation for sustainable progress in many scientific fields.
Dr. Ghanbari, pointing to the importance of interdisciplinary research in solving complex and everyday societal issues, added that the development of integrated research between theoretical and applied fields, especially in the interaction among physics, mathematics, and engineering, can open new pathways for addressing the challenges ahead.
During this ceremony, Dr. Ali Latifi, a faculty member of Qom University of Technology and the scientific secretary of the conference, presented a report on the event's organization. He noted the remarkable turnout of researchers, stating that a total of about 60 scientific papers from various universities and research centers across the country were submitted to the conference secretariat, of which 23 papers were accepted for oral presentation and 37 papers for poster presentation after scientific evaluation. Additionally, two posters were selected and awarded as outstanding works.
Dr. Latifi stated that the goal of this conference is to strengthen scientific synergy in the field of mathematical physics, adding that this scientific event creates a platform for communication among researchers, sharing experiences, and forming new scientific collaborations. It also provides an opportunity to showcase the scientific capabilities of the country in the field of mathematical physics on an international level.
The ninth International Conference on Mathematical Physics in Iran, featuring distinguished scholars, presenting the latest scientific achievements, and holding specialized sessions, is considered an effective step towards enhancing the status of this field in the country and strengthening scientific connections at both national and international levels.
