According to the Public Relations Office of Qom University of Technology, the results of the 15th edition of the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025, recognized as one of the most comprehensive and reputable global benchmarks for evaluating university sustainability and green development, have been released.
In this edition, more than 1,745 universities from 105 countries worldwide were comprehensively assessed. This ranking system evaluates higher education institutions based on precise indicators in key areas such as environmental protection, resource management, climate change mitigation, and progress toward sustainable university development.
The main objectives of this ranking include fostering constructive competition among global universities, increasing awareness and practical action to address environmental crises, and promoting innovative solutions in areas such as clean energy, water conservation, waste management and recycling, green transportation, and the development of interdisciplinary education and research in sustainability.
According to the published results, Qom University of Technology, with a score of 4,797.5 points, achieved a world rank of 1100 and ranked 26th among Iranian universities participating in this assessment.

This success is attributed to the efforts and planning undertaken in line with the university’s environmental vision and mission, as well as the implementation of macro-level sustainable development policies.
It is worth noting that the UI GreenMetric ranking was established by the University of Indonesia (UI) and is conducted annually with increasing precision and scope, evaluating universities worldwide based on their green initiatives and sustainability performance.
