According to the university's public relations; the first energy challenge event, focusing on the design and construction of the most efficient solar collector in terms of temperature increase and simplicity, was held at Qom University of Technology.
This scientific event aimed to take steps toward addressing the country's energy shortage challenge, preserving the environment, creating motivation and enthusiasm among students, and testing scientific theories in practice.
In this scientific competition, 18 teams composed of 3 to 4 members with a total of 68 participants from various fields, including energy, mechanics, civil engineering, electrical engineering, and engineering physics, competed.
Finally, the top teams were introduced as follows:
First place: Team Stefan (from the mechanics department) consisting of Gholamhossein Alizadeh, Rashid Hossein Jafari, Matin Heydari, and Ali Khorrami.
Second place: Team Faraday (from the energy department) consisting of Maliheh Alidadi Rayni, Arefeh Hasani Giv, and Malika Motaghian.
Third place: Team Einstein (from the energy department) consisting of Roghieh Valadodin, Zeynab Attarzadeh, Asal Omidi, and Kowsar Kadori.
This event was organized and executed by the Scientific Association of Energy Engineering at Qom University of Technology. At the end of the ceremony, the top teams were honored with certificates of appreciation and cash prizes.
