According to the Public Relations of Qom University of Technology, Dr. Rezaei Nour, the President of Qom University of Technology, announced the signing of a scientific and educational cooperation agreement between Qom University of Technology and UFA State Aviation Technical University in Russia. This agreement was signed during a meeting attended by Professor Vadim Zakharov, the President of UFA State Aviation Technical University, Dr. Filipova, the International Vice President of UFA, Behrouz Abtahi, the Deputy for International Affairs of Shaheed Beheshti University, and the University Council of Qom University of Technology.
In this meeting, Dr. Rezaei Nour welcomed the guests and introduced Qom University of Technology along with its long-term goals. He stated: "Qom University of Technology aims to educate committed and devout students and, with three faculties — Engineering and Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering — employs about 80 young and elite faculty members as well as offers approximately 30 major fields of study from undergraduate to doctoral levels. "
The President of Qom University of Technology further highlighted the goals and approaches of the university, saying: "Qom University of Technology, by advancing the frontiers of knowledge and scientific jihad, will contribute to increasing the rate of production and attracting technology at the provincial and national levels. Additionally, focus on graduate programs and developing interdisciplinary fields based on the current and future needs of the country's industry is one of our long-term goals. ">
He added: "The Innovation Center and co-working space of Qom University of Technology, as one of the leading hubs in technology development and entrepreneurship, hosts about 20 knowledge-based startups and three independent research centers, engaging in extensive activities in various scientific and industrial fields. This center creates an ideal platform for the growth of startups, research teams, and emerging companies by providing advanced facilities and a dynamic environment. The active knowledge-based startups at this center focus on areas such as information technology, engineering, renewable energies, and biotechnology, delivering innovative projects. Moreover, the independent research centers collaborate with elite professors and students to carry out applied and fundamental research aimed at solving industrial and social challenges. This center plays a significant role not only as a co-working space but also as a dynamic ecosystem in regional economic and technological development. ">
Dr. Rezaei Nour emphasized the importance of expanding academic and scientific communications between the two countries in this meeting, adding: "The exchange of scientific and research information, as well as collaborative efforts in terms of regulating legal activities for scientific and technical functions, are among the objectives of this partnership that could lead to advancements in science and technology in both countries. ">
Professor Vadim Zakharov, the President of UFA State Aviation Technical University, also expressed his satisfaction during this meeting, stating: "UFA University is one of the top five universities in Russia, renowned for its programs in engineering, aviation technology, and related fields. With over 50,000 students and 1,500 faculty members, the university invests significantly in research and development and has trained specialists for the aviation industry and other engineering fields. ">
He added: "UFA University has considerable capabilities in metallurgy and aircraft engine manufacturing and is also active in the field of artificial intelligence. Our aim for this cooperation with Qom University of Technology is to define joint educational courses and call for joint research projects. ">
