According to the Public Relations Office of Qom University of Technology, Dr. Bahrami, the head of the Entrepreneurship and Industry Relations Working Group at Qom University of Technology, reported on the notable achievements of this university in the field of skill development and announced that Qom University of Technology has recently earned distinguished rankings in conducting training courses across the country.
He emphasized the importance of optimally utilizing the capabilities of university graduates in industries and research and development centers, stating: «Empowering the workforce through conducting skill development courses can play a key role in enhancing the quality of businesses and the industrial and economic development of the country.»
Dr. Bahrami pointed out the significant growth in the number of university graduates and the increasing need for technical expertise in various occupations, adding: «Currently, holding skill development courses for graduates, especially in line with creating employment and preparing them for entering the job market, is of great importance.» According to published statistics, last year, a total of 10,979 skill development courses were held in universities, research institutes, and higher education centers across the country, with 345,964 participants attending these courses. In this evaluation, Qom University of Technology succeeded in obtaining the eighth rank in conducting skill training courses, eighth in public course offerings, and tenth in specialized course offerings.
These courses are the result of cooperation agreements and the organization of skill courses, particularly with the Technical and Vocational Organization of Qom Province, Startup Abad Company, Jihad University of Qom, Fakhr Ecosystem, and Sobhe Shaghayegh Company. He added: During the skill training courses conducted under the title of Khad Skills in collaboration with the Technical and Vocational Organization, students, after registering for specialized skill courses, are referred to technical and vocational centers and receive the necessary training. According to the agreement reached with the Technical and Vocational Organization, two-thirds of the costs of these courses are covered by the university, while only one-third of the course cost is paid by the students.
In conclusion, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed university president and the esteemed educational vice president for their unwavering support in planning and executing these courses. This accomplishment reflects the continuous efforts of Qom University of Technology in enhancing the skills of students and graduates and preparing them for a more effective presence in the job market.
