According to the Public Relations Office of Qom Industrial University, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Student Residence of Qom Industrial University was held in the presence of the honorable Deputy Governor, Dr. Samari, the esteemed representative of the honorable people of Qom province in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Hojjatoleslam ValMuslimeen Ravanbakhsh, the respected Chairman of the Islamic Council of Qom, and a group of benefactors from the province.
Dr. Rezaei Nour, the President of Qom Industrial University, stated at this ceremony that a 32-unit dormitory will be constructed in the first phase of this project, with funding sourced from the university's dedicated revenues and the assistance of benefactors. This project aims to enhance welfare facilities for students of Qom Industrial University over an area of more than one thousand square meters, providing a suitable environment with a budget of 25 billion tomans, to be completed within two years, marking a significant step towards addressing housing issues for students during their studies.
He added: In the second phase, the student residence will be built over an area of 1,600 square meters and in two separate blocks.
Hojjatoleslam ValMuslimeen Ravanbakhsh, the representative of the people of Qom in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, emphasized in his remarks the extensive construction efforts in the country following the revolution, noting that many construction projects in the country and in Qom province have come to fruition through the participation of citizens and esteemed benefactors. He also underscored the importance of recognizing the industrial potentials of Qom province and the need to improve the infrastructure and facilities of Qom Industrial University to meet the human resources required by the province's industries, expressing hope that with the collaboration of the Governor's Office and the support of benefactors, the student residence will be completed in a shorter timeframe, alleviating accommodation concerns for students.
This ceremony was held as a sign of a significant step towards improving the living conditions of married students at Qom Industrial University, as part of the development of educational and welfare infrastructure in the province.
