In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The martyrdom of three students on December 7, 1953, in the struggle against the imperialist regime demonstrated the significant role of students in the pursuit of freedom and resistance against tyranny. Additionally, during the eight years of the Sacred Defense, students were at the forefront of the fight against the Ba'athist regime of Iraq. Notable student martyrs include Mohsen Hajibaba, 4th in Medicine at Tehran University, Mohsen Vouzavayi, 1st in the National Entrance Exam of 1976, and a Chemistry student at Sharif University of Technology, Mahmoud Shahbazai Dashtgerdi, 17th in the National Entrance Exam of 1977, and an Industrial Engineering student at Tehran University. Today, students are also contributing to the promotion of Islamic and Iranian culture through scientific endeavors, fostering growth, knowledge production, innovation, and entrepreneurship, thus creating the groundwork for the comprehensive advancement of the country. I extend my congratulations on Student Day, December 7, to the active and creative students of Qom University of Technology while honoring the memory of the always-living martyrs. I pray for the continuous advancement of students in the fields of science, research, and spirituality from the Almighty God.
