According to the Public Relations Office of the University: The head of the Students' Basij at Qom Industrial University and the secretary of the Basij Students' Positions Council of Qom Province was the speaker before the Friday prayer sermons.
Engineer Karamian stated in his speech: Thirty-four years ago, Imam Khomeini (RA) issued the command to establish the Students' Basij, and four months after the end of the imposed war, he ordered that Basij members must strive to defend culture and knowledge. The Imam said: The hard military war has ended, but the soft cultural war has just begun.
He added: Thanks to following the directives of the Supreme Leader, Basij members, especially in universities, have effectively defended Islamic values. Over time and with the events that have unfolded, the depth of Imam Khomeini’s (RA) strategic and future-oriented vision has become completely clear. Both internal and external enemies must understand that all Basij members will defend the ideals and achievements of the revolution with the same spirit of jihad as during the Sacred Defense era.
Engineer Karamian declared: By the blood of every martyr, from Martyr Chamran to Martyr Ahmad Royesh and Martyr Zahed Louie, we will earnestly protect the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran from the influence of imperialism until our last breath.
The secretary of the Basij Students' Positions Council of Qom Province emphasized: Today, global imperialism, through media dictatorship, seeks to magnify our small weaknesses a hundredfold. Therefore, dear official, know and be aware that your inefficiency and negligence are playing into the enemy's hands.
