According to the university's public relations, a ceremony was held to honor the top researchers and technologists of Qom province, attended by the Deputy Minister of Research from the Ministry of Science and the Governor of Qom. During this event, Dr. Saeed Hassan Zadeh, a faculty member of the Electrical Engineering Department, was recognized as the top innovator and technologist among faculty members, while Engineer Mehdi Jabari was acknowledged as the leading researcher among the executive bodies of Qom province for the year 2023, chosen from Qom Industrial University. Governor Aghamiri, while honoring the top researchers and technologists of the province, stated: "The university does its part, and the industry does its part, provided that these two must work together like gears to solve the country’s problems, especially in the economic sector." Dr. Aghamiri referred to the elite as a treasure and added, "The country’s problems will be solved by the elites, academics, and industrialists who produce based on science." He emphasized, "Whenever we became self-reliant and paid attention to the elite class, we resolved many issues, particularly in the oil industry." Aghamiri mentioned: "All theses and articles must be need-driven to address the challenges." Dr. Salehi, the Deputy Minister of Research from the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, also highlighted the importance of reducing the gap between ideas and technologies for the top researchers and technologists of Qom province, stating: "The ecosystem of science and technology parks in the country is unparalleled in West Asia." The Deputy Minister remarked: "Iran ranks fifteenth in the world for scientific production, but we do not have a good standing in the humanities, and more effort must be made in this area.
