The book "Deep Excavations" was published by Qom University of Technology Press.

The book" Deep Excavations "  is translated and compiled by Dr. Masoud A'mal Sakhi, a faculty member of Qom University of Technology, Engineer Behruz Ahmadpour, and Engineer Seyyed Hassan Hosseini, and was published by Qom University of Technology Publications.
According to the university's public relations office; the book Deep Excavations is written in 799 pages and 13 chapters. This book examines deep excavations from theory to practice and also addresses the design of nailed walls using the LRFD method.
This book, which primarily translates the valuable book Deep Excavations by Cheng Yu, is a step towards familiarizing civil engineering consultants, contractors, and students with the important issues of deep excavations. Inspired by the topics discussed in this book, one can also think about the proper and principled execution of various excavation techniques.
Among the other advantages of this book is the discussion on the design of various retaining structures and the associated issues such as drainage, etc. It is worth mentioning that to complement the discussions in the book Deep Excavations, the translators have added a complete and separate chapter regarding the method of soil nailing so that specialists can easily find the issues related to the design and execution of nailing by studying this book.
Among the chapters of this book are an introduction to the analysis and design of excavations, the main characteristics and mechanical properties of soils, various excavation methods and retaining structures, lateral earth pressure, stability analysis, stress and deformation analysis, elastic bed beam method, and....
