Message from the President of Qom University of Technology on the occasion of the Day of the Oppressed Basij

According to the Public Relations Office of the University: Dr. Khoshnavisan, the President of Qom University of Technology, commemorated the Day of the Oppressed by issuing a message. The text of this message is as follows:
The week of Basij is a valuable opportunity to rightly honor one of the enduring legacies of the great founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Basij is a collective that, through the participation of people across various cultural, social, scientific, technological, military, and other fields, has indeed brought progress to the country.
Undoubtedly, Basij symbolizes selflessness, sincerity, sacrifice, and love for Islam to the extent that Imam Khomeini (RA) stated at the onset of Basij’s formation: I hope Basij becomes a model for all the oppressed of the world and the nations of the world.
On this occasion, while honoring the memory of all our dear martyrs, especially the Basiji martyrs, I extend my congratulations and best wishes on the arrival of this period, coinciding with the onset of the month of Rabi' and the defeat of ISIS, thanks to the efforts of the commanders of the IRGC, the valiant Basijis, and the martyrs defending the shrine, who are a source of pride for humanity. I hope that under the blessings of the Awaited One (AJ) and the wise leadership of the Supreme Leader (may his shadow be exalted), we will witness the promotion and expansion of Basij thought in society.
