According to the university's public relations: Concurrent with the sixth anniversary of the opening of Qom University of Technology, a meeting was held with the presence of Dr. Akhundi, the university president, the board of trustees, and faculty members to review the ten-year strategic plan for the university on Tuesday and Wednesday, 11/7/1393 and 11/8/1393.
The draft of the ten-year strategic plan for the university, which was formulated according to the model proposed by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology for developing strategic plans for universities, educational centers, and science and technology parks, was prepared by forming a planning council chaired by Dr. Akhundi and various officials, using foundational documents, the directives issued by the Supreme Leader (may his shadow be extended), the provincial development document, the land use plan, the guidelines from the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, as well as the document prepared in 1389. This draft was completed and clarified with the input of faculty members.
In this meeting, professors formed specialized committees within the faculties of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Technical and Engineering, Basic Sciences, and discussed general policies of the university, the selection of new disciplines based on the needs assessment of the province, and the establishment of new faculties. Additionally, in order to enhance the university's connection with industry, topics were raised to familiarize with the natural and industrial geography, and initial discussions were held to establish a virtual university center.
In conclusion, it was agreed to form a working group to review the proposed suggestions to incorporate the mentioned items into the university's ten-year strategic plan.
