National Research and Technology Week provides an opportunity to focus on various aspects of research and technology in the country so that all stakeholders, while being informed about the existing trends and conditions in the country, can plan for a better and more significant future. The selection and introduction of the outstanding figures in the field of research and technology, as well as honoring them, and creating opportunities for interaction among stakeholders in various ways such as holding exhibitions, technology markets, conferences, seminars, press interviews, and radio and television space, creates an environment in the country that not only enhances the dignity and status of research and technology but also lays a strong foundation for continuing the path of strengthening and developing research and technology, which guarantees the real progress of the country and creates wealth, welfare, and security for the people in social and cultural dimensions. Since 2000, to promote the culture of research, the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology has designated the fourth week of Azar as Research Week, in consideration of the designation of December 25 as Research Day by the Public Culture Council, and the responsibility of organizing this week has been entrusted to the Research Department of this Ministry.
Objectives of holding Research and Technology Week:
- Promoting the culture of research and technology at the national level and enhancing the dignity and status of active participants in this field
- Encouraging researchers and technologists in the country to produce more knowledge, technology, dignity, and the wealth that arises from it
- Clarifying the current status of research and technology, trends, and its future in the country for public opinion and officials and obtaining feedback for coordination and advancement of work
- Identifying and presenting research and technological findings
- Laying the groundwork for the commercialization of research findings and developed technologies
- Establishing constructive communication between researchers and technologists, executive agencies, and buyers of the achievements or strengthening the connection between academia and industry
- Encouraging and recognizing top researchers and technologists
- Evaluating the annual research and technological activities of universities and other research centers
- Increasing the sensitivity and attention of managers to research and technological activities

- Research Week ceremony and honoring selected researchers of the university on Sunday, 95/9/21 at 9:30 AM in the Shahid Akhundi Conference Hall
- Research seminar of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer on Tuesday, 95/9/23 at 8 AM in the Shahid Akhundi Conference Hall
- Meeting of professors on the topic of research ethics on Tuesday, 95/9/29 at 1 PM in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Technical Engineering
