According to the public relations office of the university: Concurrent with the martyrdom of Amir al-Mu'minin, Imam Ali (AS), and the blessed nights of Qadr, the officials of Qom University of Technology met and discussed with Ayatollah Saidi, the custodian of the holy shrine of the Lady of the House of Prophethood (SA).
In this meeting, Dr. Khushnavisan, the president of Qom University of Technology, while expressing condolences for this period, briefly introduced Qom University of Technology. He added: The mission of Qom University of Technology is to educate committed and religious engineers. Given the spiritual atmosphere of the holy city of Qom, the intellectual and spiritual growth of the students is as important as their scientific progress, which holds special significance for the officials of this university.
The president of Qom University of Technology considered non-local students as cultural soldiers and emphasized: The several years of presence of non-local students during their study period in the holy city of Qom is a valuable opportunity to create changes in their lifestyle by utilizing the religious and spiritual atmosphere of this city, so that even after completing their studies and returning to their hometowns, this change in lifestyle and spiritual outlook continues in them.
Dr. Khushnavisan called for continuous cooperation between the university and the holy shrine of Fatimah al-Masumah (SA) and added: The university and the holy shrine can have more joint activities through greater student presence in the sacred shrine and by holding knowledge-enhancing and cultural programs on behalf of the shrine, visits to the museum, etc., which will greatly contribute to the enhancement of students' awareness and insight.
Furthermore, Ayatollah Saidi expressed his happiness regarding this meeting and spoke about the expansion of Islam, stating: Over the past 65 years, the Islamic world has faced the cancerous tumor of Israel, but today with the advancements of Islamic countries, both Saudi Arabia and ISIS have stood against Islam and Muslims with the support of treacherous governments, which, by God's grace, their sinister plans will be thwarted.
The custodian of the holy shrine of the Lady of the House of Prophethood (SA) expressed readiness for closer cooperation between the university and the holy shrine, adding: God willing, with the establishment of a two-way and close relationship, we hope to witness the creation of a more spiritual atmosphere among students and youth. The cultural department of the holy shrine is also prepared to hold cultural and religious programs to familiarize students further with the personality and life of Lady Fatimah al-Masumah (SA).
