National Mourning of Fatimah's Sanctuary

The Cultural and Social Management of Qom University of Technology, in collaboration with the Cultural Deputy of the Ministry, the Leadership Institution at the University, and the holy shrine of Hazrat Fatemeh Massoumeh (SA), aims to honor religious rituals and utilize the presence of the celestial shrine of Hazrat Fatemeh Massoumeh in the Islamic Republic of Iran and the holy city of Qom. The approach encompasses literary, artistic, and media sectors to familiarize and engage university scholars in the mourning event for Hazrat Fatemeh Massoumeh (SA), as well as to strengthen the spirit of hope and reliance on the holy family of Prophethood and Ahl al-Bayt (AS) during the times of disease outbreaks by holding the national mourning event of Fatimi Sanctuary.

Target Community:

It includes the entire university community (faculty members, students, and staff).

The secretariat of the mourning event is at the Cultural and Social Management of Qom University of Technology, and the various parts of the mourning event for participation focus on the conduct, praise, elegy, virtues, merits, life, and personality of Hazrat Zahra (SA) and Hazrat Fatemeh Massoumeh (SA) as follows:

A) Competition Sections

1- Literary Section

1-1- Short Story Conditions:

- It is expected that the submitted short story contains a minimum of 1000 and a maximum of 5000 words.

1-2- Poetry Conditions:

- All poets are free to choose different poetry forms.

- A maximum of 5 pieces of poetry from each poet.

2- Artistic Section

2-1- Painting

Conditions

- The size of artworks should have a minimum of one side 50 and a maximum of 150 centimeters.

2-2- Calligraphy

Conditions

- All calligraphers are free to choose the type of script and adornment (if desired).

3- Digital Media Section

3-1- Photography:

Top photographs of the mourning event will be selected and displayed at the photo exhibition and published on the university's website.

- Conditions:

- The mourning event is competitive, and it will be judged.

- The photographs will be selected in two phases by the judging team for both the mourning event and online exhibition.

- All photographers can participate with any type of photographs in this festival.

- Your submitted photo represents one year of your photography on the site.

- The submitted photographs must be sent in size 1500 pixels.

- Photos will be displayed at the exhibition sized 20 × 30 centimeters on the wall.

- Photos will be uploaded on the website in size 800 × 600 pixels.

- No logos or signs will be placed on the photos on the website.

- Color adjustments and edits to the photos are the responsibility of the photographer.

- Once submitted, you cannot edit or replace your photographs on the mourning event site.

- Each photographer can submit a maximum of 3 works.

3-2- The photographs will be published online after the exhibitions.

3-3- Podcast

Conditions:

- The duration of a podcast can be a minimum of 5 minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes.

- The podcast format can be one of the following types: literary, interview, storytelling, poetry reading, or narration.

B) Judging

Judging of the submitted works to the secretariat of the mourning event will be done in two rounds. The first stage is for organizing a physical exhibition of the submitted works at the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA), if possible, and also for an online exhibition and the publication of works on the Qom University of Technology website. The second stage is for choosing the winners of each section and awarding prizes.

- All interested individuals wishing to participate in the mourning event should visit the official Qom University of Technology website at www.qut.ac.ir and fill out the registration form in the section designated for the festival, uploading the digital and literary works as they can be uploaded to the system, or send the original work-related images to the address: Qom – Shahid Khodakaram Boulevard – Qom University of Technology, P.O. Box: 37195-1519.

Important Dates of the Festival

Deadline for registration and submission of works from 06/09/1399, simultaneously with the martyrdom of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA).

Date of the exhibition and closing ceremony of the festival 08/10/1399, coinciding with the martyrdom of Hazrat Sadiqah Tahereh (SA).

Article Conditions 
- Submitted articles must adhere to ethical principles in writing and compiling articles and include the following points. 
1- Articles must be the result of the authors' studies and research.
2- Articles must not have previously been published anywhere.
3- Articles should not be repetitive or derived from the research results of others.
4- References of the articles must be complete.
5- Adherence to the above ethical points is the responsibility of the authors themselves.
6- All faculty members, students, staff, public universities, nonprofit educational institutions, medical sciences, applied scientific universities, Payame Noor University, technical-vocational universities, and the Islamic Azad University can participate in the festival. (Submitting a copy of the student, staff, and faculty ID card along with the work is mandatory)

7 - To save time, the summary and the original article should be submitted simultaneously.

Please pay attention to the following points carefully before registering and submitting each article:

 8 - The article must be submitted in Word and PDF format as a zip file (the original article file should include the article title + author details + email address + abstract + introduction + main text + conclusion + sources) through the communication channels provided.

9 - Each article should have a summary of 70 to 100 words, written in a single paragraph with 30mm margins from the right edge and 20mm from the left edge. This section must independently express the topic, objectives, research methods, and findings of the article but should not be considered an introduction.
