Professor Maryam Mirzakhani, a genius who was recognized as one of the world's leading minds in 2005, has passed away. The prominent and young professor at Stanford University in California, who brought the name of Islamic Iran to the forefront of global scientific gatherings, left this world unexpectedly at the peak of her blossoming.
