According to the public relations of the university: In line with attracting international students and expanding joint cooperation, the Board of Trustees of Qom University of Technology met and discussed with the President of Al-Mustafa International University.
In this meeting, Hojjatoleslam wa moslemin Dr. Abbasi, President of Al-Mustafa University, said: With the presence of foreign seminarians from 140 countries around the world, today, Al-Mustafa University has become a small world.
He added, thanks to God Almighty, currently, in Iran, besides Qom, the branches in Mashhad, Isfahan, Tabriz, and Ashtian are meeting the needs of foreign seminarians. Additionally, abroad, there are sixty active branches of Al-Mustafa University currently operating.
He mentioned: An interesting point for us is that other religions and sects, especially Christians, are also being taught and nurtured at Al-Mustafa, quenching their thirsty souls. Of course, in Iran, there are also branches specifically designated for brothers and sisters of the Sunni faith.
Hojjatoleslam wa moslemin Dr. Abbasi stated: Al-Mustafa University is also available virtually for enthusiasts. Especially during the Corona time, we were able to attract eight thousand theology students in undergraduate and graduate programs.
The President of Al-Mustafa University said: Qom University of Technology, given its diverse fields of study, can play a complementary role for Al-Mustafa University, which is contingent upon establishing an operational committee that, through the signing of several memorandums of understanding, would enable us to utilize each other's potentials and establish worthy cooperation.
Furthermore, Dr. Rezaei Nour, President of Qom University of Technology, expressed his happiness regarding this meeting, saying: Given that the holy city of Qom is located next to eight urban areas and four industrial zones, and considering the presence of many metal mines in this city, there was a significant need for an industrial university in the province, which was established in 2008.
He added: Currently, Qom University of Technology, as a young, active, and dynamic university, has achieved remarkable successes. For instance, the highest employment rate in undergraduate programs across the country is related to Qom University of Technology. Additionally, at the Research and Technology Week festivals, top researchers in the engineering fields from Qom University of Technology have been selected.
Dr. Rezaei Nour continued: The significant growth of faculty publications, and the presence of students and faculty from this university in the province's industry to tackle problems and challenges facing the industry, is another part of Qom University of Technology's achievements.
Also, Hojjatoleslam wa moslemin Dr. Ghorbani Mobin, head of the representative office of the Supreme Leader in Qom University of Technology, stated: Today, major universities around the world, especially in the United States, are investing in the talents of Muslim countries. For example, Americans consider Iraq as their strategic base, where they attract Muslim students and create welfare facilities for them to gain influence in this country.
He added: In this regard, Al-Mustafa University should be a strong base for producing religious and theological sciences globally; to achieve this goal, Qom University of Technology does not spare any effort.
In conclusion, Dr. Ghanbari, Vice President for Education and Research at Qom University of Technology, stated: Considering that Qom University of Technology is young and emerging, activities at this university are conducted at a high speed. Qom University of Technology can effectively collaborate with Al-Mustafa University by holding joint courses, especially virtual courses.
