Dr. Hassan Rouhani, during the ceremony honoring exemplary professors on Teacher's Day, emphasized that universities should not be degree-oriented. This sacred place is both educational and research-oriented. Today, we need thousands of specialists to address the country's challenges. Following the points raised by the President, Qom University of Technology aims to announce a part of its upcoming programs in the year of economy and culture, with national determination and jihadist management:Due to a shortage of physical space at the university and the increase in fields of study and students, we hope, through follow-ups with provincial officials, that one of the university's faculties will be transferred to a nearby government facility.
According to the plans established by the university's board of directors, the construction of three new warehouses to establish several laboratories and workshops is on the agenda for the university's future programs.
Qom University of Technology has demonstrated significant progress in education and research by attracting 53 faculty members and signing research contracts with research institutes and scientific centers across the country over the past two years (from 2012 until now).
Given the increase in academic programs and students, Qom University of Technology intends to allocate a budget of 270 million tomans from the esteemed Vice Presidency for Science and Technology to purchase domestically produced equipment for the establishment of more than ten additional workshops and laboratories.
With this modest background, Qom University of Technology is proud to welcome more students from across Iran in the upcoming academic year (2014-2015).
To enhance and advance the province's industry, with the support of esteemed representatives and provincial officials, Qom University of Technology will establish its international campus for graduate studies in the industrial and commercial hub of Iran, Salafchegan.
Considering that Qom University of Technology will be responsible for solving industrial issues and training skilled personnel in the industry, preparations have been made to obtain licenses for six new fields of study at the graduate level, in response to the province's industrial needs.
In light of the designation of the year 2014 as the year of economy and culture with national determination and jihadist management by the Supreme Leader (may his shadow last), the expansion of cultural programs will be at the forefront of the university's activities.
Dr. Meshkough Al-Sadat, the university president, added: The realization of all these matters requires the cooperation and solidarity of all employees, professors, and students. It is hoped that with jihadist management, we can achieve this goal and gain the satisfaction of the honorable people of Qom, making this university a place for the research and studies of the children of this holy city.
