 According to the public relations office of the university: Concurrent with the beginning of the new academic year, the Board of Trustees of Qom University of Technology met with Ayatollah Safi Golpayegani.
The Board of Trustees of Qom University of Technology met with Ayatollah Safi Golpayegani at his office on Saturday, September 14, 2014. At the beginning of this meeting, Dr. Akhundi, the head of Qom University of Technology, presented a report on the university's performance, stating: Qom University of Technology, as the only technical university in the province, proudly accepted more than two thousand students in eleven technical and engineering fields at the undergraduate level and nine fields at the master's level. Dr. Akhundi emphasized that Qom University of Technology aims to strengthen the connection between industry and academia with the presence of young and experienced professors, as well as creative and dynamic students, which will lead to an increase in domestic production, the development of job opportunities for youth, and advancements in the economy.
 
Furthermore, Ayatollah Safi Golpayegani highlighted the importance of knowledge. He stated: University professors and all those involved in promoting knowledge, religion, and awareness among the youth bear a significant responsibility and must ensure that these important objectives are well fulfilled.
Ayatollah Safi Golpayegani regarded knowledge and religion together as the keys to salvation in this world and the hereafter, adding: Thank God, our youth have made remarkable achievements in various fields and have brought honor to our country with their scientific knowledge and contributions, both inside and outside the country.
