The tenth round of faculty development for professors at Qom University of Technology on the subject of the economic policy of the Islamic Republic was held over two days.
According to the public relations office of the university, the tenth round of faculty development for professors at Qom University of Technology was held on the subject of economic policy. The instructors of this course included Dr. Mohammad Javad Tavakoli, a prominent professor in economics, Engineer Abdali, a researcher in the field of resistance economy, and Colonel Niko Kalam, the secretary of the Engineering Basij of Qom province, who analyzed the economic problems of the country and proposed solutions regarding the resolution of economic issues and production obstacles.
At the beginning of this course, Dr. Rezaei Noor, the president of Qom University of Technology, welcomed the faculty and emphasized the need for more dynamism among professors in the field of publishing articles and books, mentioning the establishment of the university’s publications.
He stated, "So far, Qom University of Technology has made good progress in the area of industry relations, but there are still many gaps that we must address to better support the development of the province's industry."
Furthermore, Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Dr. Ghorbani Mobin, head of the Office of the Supreme Leader’s representative in Qom University of Technology, considered these sessions to be full of goodness and blessing and expressed hope that, God willing, the outcomes of this course will be beneficial and facilitate economic matters in society.
Dr. Tavakoli stated regarding Iran's economy: "The growth of the stock market significantly helps to improve the country's economy, but only if it finds its true and established position."
He added: "Given the economic crises in the world and the country, a fundamental solution for improving the country’s economy is to focus on domestic production and reform the banking system."
Colonel Niko Kalam announced the launch of specialized clinics in the province and added: Professors from Qom University of Technology should participate in these clinics as consultants to assist the growth and development of the province’s industry with their specialized opinions.
Engineer Abdali also referred to a period of American economic policies. He mentioned: "During one of the periods when America was experiencing a severe economic crisis, they banned the import of foreign goods into the country. This created a more favorable environment for domestic producers, leading to positive results. However, after the situation improved, they abandoned this policy, and with the influx of foreign products into America, the economy of this country faced further instability."
In conclusion, Dr. Al-Imran Nejad, the secretary of the faculty think tank, discussed the purpose of holding this course, stating: "Considering that one of the most important issues facing the country is the economy, we chose this topic for the tenth round of faculty development so that by gaining more information from specialists in this field and fostering greater interaction among colleagues, we could find a solution to address this issue."
