Public Invitation for Research and Technology Week

National Research and Technology Week is an opportunity to pay attention to and focus on various aspects of research and technology in the country, enabling all stakeholders to stay informed about existing trends and conditions to plan better and more important for the future. The selection and introduction of the elite in the field of research and technology, honoring them, and establishing opportunities for interaction among stakeholders in this field through various means such as exhibitions, tech fairs, seminars, conferences, press interviews, and radio-television programs create an environment in the country that not only enhances the dignity and status of research and technology but also establishes a solid foundation for the continued strengthening and development of research and technology, which is essential for the real progress of the country and for creating wealth, welfare, and security for the people in social and cultural dimensions. Since 2000, in order to promote the culture of research, the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology has designated the fourth week of Azar as Research Week, considering the designation of December 25th as Research Day by the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution and assigned the responsibility of organizing this week to the Research Office of this ministry.
Objectives of holding Research and Technology Week:
-   Promotion of research and technology culture at the national level and enhancing the dignity and status of active stakeholders in this field.
-   Encouraging and motivating researchers and technologists in the country to produce more science and technology, as well as the dignity and wealth arising from it.
-   Clarifying the current status of research and technology, its trends, and its future in the country for public opinion and officials and obtaining feedback for coordination and progress.
-   Identifying and showcasing research and technology findings.
-   Laying the groundwork for the commercialization of research findings and developed technologies.
-   Establishing constructive communication between researchers, technologists, executive devices, and buyers of achievements, or strengthening the connection between academia and industry.
-    Encouraging and honoring outstanding researchers and technologists.
-   Evaluating the research and technological activities of universities and other research centers over the past year.
-   Increasing sensitivity and attention among managers towards research and technology activities.
In this context, the programs of Qom University of Technology during Research Week are as follows:
  • Research, technology, and tech-fair exhibition in Qom Province in 2017, held at Qom University of Technology, from Saturday to Monday, December 11 to 13.
  • Opening ceremony of the Research, Technology, and Tech-Fair exhibition in Qom Province in 2017, on Saturday, December 11, with the presence of the esteemed governor of Qom, senior provincial managers, and domestic industrialists.
  • Special program for Research Week and honoring selected researchers from the university, as well as the closing ceremony of the tech-fair exhibition on Tuesday, September 13, 96, at 1 PM in the Shahid Akhundi Conference Hall.
Additionally, all interested individuals, faculty members, and students are invited to participate in the university's Research Week programs.
