A representative of the people of Qom in the Islamic Consultative Assembly stated: Strengthening and developing Qom Industrial University is very effective and valuable for enhancing the infrastructure of development and production growth in the province.
According to the public relations office of the university, Hojjat al-Islam Wal-Muslimeen Mojtaba Zolnouri, in an interview with a reporter from Hawzah News Agency, stated: The specialized growth of the province's young workforce, preventing the emigration of capable and efficient individuals, and strengthening the infrastructure for the growth of science and industry in the province all depend on comprehensive support from the respective ministries and then senior managers of the province for this university.
The chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly emphasized that the comprehensive advancements of Qom Industrial University are significant: The existence of this university in the city of Karimeh Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH) and the mother of cities in the Islamic world was crucial for the province of Qom, as it contributes not only to the dissemination of the sciences and teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH) but also aligns with other small and large provinces that have industrial universities, thereby assisting the system and revolution and alleviating some burdens from the country.
He noted that until two or three years ago, Qom Industrial University did not hold a desirable position among other industrial universities in the country but stated: Praise God, with a suitable management change, this university is now one of the scientific industrial centers of the country, ranking 11th based on the criteria of the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC). This success would not have been achieved without the jihadist efforts of the management and planning team of Qom Industrial University, who brought this honor to the province.
The chairman of the Defense and National Power faction in the Islamic Consultative Assembly indicated that industrial transformation is a critical need for the province and the country today, and neglecting this issue will lead to repercussions. He asserted: The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution states that we can resolve all of the country's problems internally. For instance, if knowledge-based companies receive support and trust is given to the youth, we won’t need foreign countries. However, some officials seek to promote a culture of despair and hopelessness in society and maintain the country's dependency on foreigners. According to the words of the Supreme Leader, we must rely on our domestic capabilities in all areas and achieve self-sufficiency through boosting and accelerating production, and this crucial task will be realized by removing barriers on the path of production and supporting job creation.
He mentioned positive developments at Qom Industrial University, including construction projects, saying: Considering the young, jihadist, and active management of the university, if the primary needs, the most important of which is the issue of the university's location, are addressed with the determination of relevant officials, there will undoubtedly be a better future awaiting it. Since this university is a technical institution, it requires various equipment, laboratories, and workshops, which are costly, and I will wholeheartedly support this growing university.
