According to the university's public relations: A special program commemorating the 9th of Dey (December 30) and the Decade of Insight was held by the Office of the Supreme Leader's Representative at the university after the noon and afternoon prayers in the prayer hall of Qom Industrial University.
In this ceremony, which was attended by officials, faculty members, and students, Hojjatoleslam Abdullahian, a media expert, discussed the elections of 2009 and the unrest that followed.
He identified one of the objectives of the instigators of the unrest as changing the system's structure through confrontation between the people and the leadership, adding: The main goal of the enemy during the 2009 unrest was the overthrow of the regime. The instigators aimed to set the people and the leadership against each other and to achieve their other goals by undermining the leadership's position and making it ceremonial.
Hojjatoleslam Abdullahian noted: Another goal of the enemy was to incite conflict among the people, meaning the enemy believed that some individuals were victorious in the elections while others were defeated, leading these groups to confront each other. When people lost trust in the regime, the enemy sought to pit them against one another. As stated by the Supreme Leader, if this had happened, security-related discussions could not have adequately addressed many of these issues. However, with the wise leadership of the Supreme Leader (may his shadow be prolonged) and the insight of the honorable people of Iran, the enemy's schemes were foiled.
Among other parts of this program was the recitation of epic poetry.
