According to the public relations of the university: A memorial for the martyrs defending the shrine was held at the Shahid Akhoundi Conference Hall of Qom Industrial University, organized by the Islamic community of the university.
In this ceremony, Engineer Amir Abadi, the representative of the people of Qom in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Colonel Rostamali Rafiei, the deputy commander of the 17th Operational Division of Ali ibn Abi Talib (PBUH), Dr. Bahram Khoshnavisan, the president of Qom Industrial University, and a number of families of the martyrs defending the shrine attended.
Hojjatoleslam Hamze Sharifi Doost, the head of the representative office of the Supreme Leader at Qom Industrial University, at the beginning of this ceremony, referred to the status of the martyrs defending the shrine and stated: Qom Industrial University has the honor of hosting a number of families of these martyrs, and the martyrs defending the shrine have rights over all people.

He continued: We owe a debt to the martyrs defending the shrine; we must appreciate these martyrs and recognize the value of the noble work of the martyrs defending the shrine. Among them, we can mention martyr Hadi Zolfaghari, who had special qualities.
Colonel Rafiei, the deputy commander of the 17th Operational Division, in this ceremony, pointed out the characteristics of these martyrs, stating: One of the privileges of the martyrs defending the shrine is to attain martyrdom in a foreign land, and the Supreme Leader has referred to these martyrs as the friends of God and the chosen ones.
He expressed that students should read the wills of the martyrs defending the shrine and continued: ISIS even reached the borders of our country, but the defenders of the shrine heroically prevented the elements of this terrorist group from entering Iran.
The deputy commander of the 17th Operational Division added: Students should know that some of the martyrs defending the shrine were also students like them, for example, the martyrs Arabi and Alidoust, who are amongst the martyrs defending the shrine were also students.

Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Reza Alidoust, the father of martyr Mehdi Alidoust, also in continuation of this ceremony, referred to the characteristics of the martyrs defending the shrine and said: The Supreme Leader considered one of the characteristics of these martyrs to be their religious zeal; the martyrs defending the shrine were not indifferent to their faith. If a nation is indifferent to its faith, God will bring calamity upon that nation.

He added: A Muslim must have zeal for their faith, and one of the characteristics of the martyrs defending the shrine was having such zeal. These martyrs also had insight; many of the martyrs defending the shrine had just formed their marital life, and these martyrs did not have any worldly issues.
Ahmad Amir Abadi, the representative of the people of Qom in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, in this ceremony, while referring to Student Day, stated: The reason for the naming of December 7 as Student Day is completely clear; the students of our country rose up on this day to fight against oppression and imperialism, and several of them lost their lives in this struggle.
He continued: December 7 is a day of anti-imperialism, justice-seeking, and defense of rights and truth; however, some unfortunately seek to change the essence of this day into a friendship with America. The students sacrificed their lives on December 7 in the fight against America.
A member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly's presiding board added: America did not pass the final test of the Iranian people, and the JCPOA demonstrated that America is untrustworthy and treacherous; this country has an imperialist nature. The Iranian nation tested America, but this country failed the test, and the Iranian nation stands against imperialism.

Engineer Amir Abadi emphasized the necessity of utilizing the potential of youth in the realm of anti-imperialism, stating: The country's officials must use the capacity of the young people so that our country can stand against the oppressors of the world and reach the desired point in this field. The situation of the Iranian nation is better than before, and now the power of this nation is incomparable to that at the beginning of the revolution.
The screening of the documentary "Armed Mystic" focusing on the life of martyr Hadi Zolfaghari was one of the concluding programs of the memorial for the martyrs defending the shrine at Qom Industrial University.
