According to the public relations of the university: a press conference of Qom University of Technology was held with the presence of the university's board of trustees and a number of media representatives in the conference hall of this university.
Dr. Bahram Khushnavisan, the President of Qom University of Technology, stated: This university, as the custodian of technical and engineering fields, has managed to bring the industrial capabilities of the province to a relatively desirable position.
He referred to the beginning of activities at Qom University of Technology in 2008 and added: The building of Qom University of Technology is not suitable for a university complex; therefore, we hope that with continuous support from the government, we can establish a site over the next six years that meets academic standards on the new land of this university.
The president emphasized that students at this university study in 12 undergraduate and 10 master's programs, specifying: 2,300 students are actively engaged in this institution and have been admitted with good rankings in this university.
He referenced the activity of 53 faculty members at Qom University of Technology and stated: 30 percent of the university's output has been accepted in master's programs, and establishing two disciplines at the doctoral level, as well as new interdisciplinary fields at the master's level, is on the agenda of this university.
Dr. Khushnavisan noted that last year this university achieved the top rank in research, adding: This university has been designated as a promoter of green industry and environmentally friendly technology, and for this reason, it has so far signed memorandums of understanding with relevant organizations, particularly the Department of Environment.
He spoke about the development of research activities in the field of environmentally friendly technologies and continued: The secretariat of the strategic nanotechnology working group has been entrusted to Qom University of Technology for the past two weeks to pursue the promotion and development of topics related to nanotechnology.
The president of Qom University of Technology cited the organization of the National Civil Engineering Conference as another achievement of this university, mentioning: In addition to equipping laboratories, initial steps are currently being taken to establish an innovation center at the university to enhance our connections with knowledge-based companies and industrial units.

Dr. Khushnavisan emphasized that energy optimization is one of the core programs of Qom University of Technology, adding: The industry in Qom is moving toward small workshops, and for this reason, it is indifferent to long-term investments that dedicate themselves to specific scientific issues.
He reminded that prominent religious figures in Qom so far have provided significant support for the development of technical and engineering disciplines, but these encouragements and supports should not sideline Qom's primary position in cultural and religious aspects.
The president of Qom University of Technology expressed gratitude to the support of members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly and executive officials of Qom province for advancing the goals of this university, stating: The 215 Commission of the Cabinet must pay special attention to the construction of a new building for Qom University of Technology.
He emphasized that the first Mathematical Physics Conference will be held at the initiative of Qom University of Technology, noting: This national conference, attended by a number of distinguished global physicists from France and Italy, will be held on 95/8/13 at the Parsian Hotel in Qom. Additionally, out of the papers submitted from across the country, only 150 papers have been accepted, indicating the high scientific level of this conference.
