According to the University Public Relations: The blessed ceremony of the Supplication of Arafah was held at the university mosque from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, organized by the Cultural Management with the presence of Dr. Akhundi, the acting head of the university, along with faculty members, staff, and students.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Omidian spoke about the importance of this day. He added: On this great day, God pays special attention to three groups: The pilgrims of Imam Hussein (PBUH) in Karbala, the Hajj pilgrims in the plains of Arafah, and those who come before Almighty God with humility and a broken heart.
Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Omidian, the cultural director of Qom University of Technology, referred to the hadith "He who knows himself knows his Lord" and considered self-knowledge to be the key to all divine knowledge. He acknowledged: The spiritual journey begins with self-recognition, which in turn will also lead to knowledge of God. It is hoped that with attention to the profound meanings of the Supplication of Arafah on this glorious day, we can attain an understanding of even a tiny fraction of divine knowledge.
The ceremony concluded with recitations and the reading of the Supplication of Arafah.
