According to the public relations of the university: Concurrently with the auspicious anniversary of the birth of the blessed Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and Teacher's Day, a ceremony was held with the efforts of the cultural management and in collaboration with the office of the representative of the Supreme Leader, attended by professors, officials, staff, and students of Qom University of Technology in the Shahid Akhoundi Hall of the university.At the beginning of this ceremony, the honorable president of the university congratulated everyone on these occasions and commemorated the status of the martyr professor Morteza Motahari, expressing happiness and joy at being among the dear professors and students, stating: I hope that 2015 will be a year of solidarity between professors and students, and we will witness improvements in the educational environment and an increase in the enrollment of master's students, and hopefully, the admission of doctoral students.
Dr. Akhoundi mentioned that, thanks to God's grace, good news is on the way, including the budget allocation for the construction of the university, a significant increase in the university budget, the delivery of land, the installation of the university sign, and also the inauguration of the Faculty of Engineering by the end of the month of Rajab.
In another part of this ceremony, Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Akhoundzadeh, the representative of the Supreme Leader's office, congratulated everyone on the auspicious birth of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), and honored the status of the teacher by sending salutations to the spirit of the martyr Motahari, stating: Imam Ali (peace be upon him) has been neglected among Muslims, especially among Shiites, and our lack of reference to him in life and social management is a testament to this matter.
He continued by inviting Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Aghamiri, the guest speaker of the ceremony, to deliver a speech.
Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Aghamiri began by mentioning the virtues of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) and elaborated on the various interpretations of Islam.
He added: In our time, various interpretations of Islam have been presented, and superpowers are trying to show a liberal face of Islam, exemplified in Turkey, or a violent and deviant Wahhabi Islam, spawned by the archaic Arab regimes, which necessitates the university's role as a source of transformation to introduce the compassionate and true interpretation of Islam, which follows the true path of the Messenger of God, the Commander of the Faithful, and the Imams as pure Islam to the world. He concluded by addressing the obstacles to the true spread of Islam in today’s world.
It is noteworthy that the performance of the Qamar Bani Hashim (peace be upon him) choir, competitions, the talented host Mr. Josheghani, and the awarding of prizes to active participants in prayer during this ceremony were other sections of the celebration of the birth of the Commander of the Monotheists, Amir al-Mu'minin, Imam Ali (peace be upon him) at Qom University of Technology.
