According to the university's public relations report; during a visit by the university's board of trustees to the new sports facilities and equipment at Shahid Shahriari Sports Hall, a reveal took place. Creating a vibrant and lively environment for students and staff has always been a priority for the university's board of trustees. In this regard, the Physical Education Department, with support from university officials and the Ministry of Science's Department of Physical Education, has made significant strides in recent years to provide sports facilities and equipment at the university. The opening of the open artificial grass field and the addition of 1200 square meters to the university's sports area last year are among the most important actions taken. It is noteworthy that the establishment of this sports complex, using high-quality artificial grass and the construction of a special coach's area, along with the fencing around the field, involved an expenditure exceeding five billion rials, providing a high-quality space for enjoyable and exciting futsal. Among other actions taken, part of Shahid Shahriari Sports Hall has been dedicated to the popular sport of archery, which, with the purchase of three air rifles and related equipment, has made it possible for enthusiasts to engage in this sport. With the spike in COVID-19 and the absence of physical student presence, an opportunity arose for the Physical Education Department to reinforce the only indoor sports hall at the university. Standardizing this hall in terms of engineering aspects, equipping it with advanced bodybuilding machines became a priority, and following the efforts of the Student Affairs Office and the Physical Education Department, up-to-date sports equipment worth one billion rials was purchased and installed. In the unveiling of these installed devices, Dr. Rezaei Nour, the university president, emphasized the strengthening and expansion of sports facilities in light of attracting international students starting from this fall. He expressed hope that with the planned arrangements and the readiness to hold student competitions, we will witness top rankings in various regional and national competitions.
