According to the Public Relations of the university: Simultaneously with Research Week, researchers, technologists, and book donors in the realm of industry-university relations were honored in the presence of Dr. Ghoroushi, the Deputy for Management Development and Human Resources of the Governor's Office, at the Shahid Akhondi Conference Hall of Qom University of Technology.
Dr. Ghoroushi, the Deputy for Management Development and Human Resources, congratulated the Research Week and the Day of Unity between the Seminary and the University, stating: In the second step of the Revolution, the Supreme Leader emphasizes that the most pivotal issue is research. The key to resolving many of the country's knots and problems lies in the research conducted by academia. Through the research of these valued individuals, the country's dependence on foreign entities is minimized.
He added: One of the most significant gaps in research is the lack of informational skills and cognitive abilities. These two issues lead to both resource waste and stagnation.
The Deputy for Management Development and Human Resources highlighted that Qom University of Technology can play a very important role in the province. The fact that Qom University of Technology serves as the secretariat for the industry-province connection indicates the significance and heavy responsibility of this university.
He continued: Qom University of Technology has the capacity and potential to organize various startups that can bring profitability to both the university and the province.
In this ceremony, Dr. Rezai Noor, the president of Qom University of Technology, pointed to the strategic position of Qom province, stating: Given its location, which is one of the main transit routes in the country and situated between major industrial provinces such as Tehran, Isfahan, and Arak, Qom University can significantly influence the growth and prosperity of the province's industry.
He regarded the presence of young and elite professors and motivated and active students as one of the university's most important characteristics as it develops, adding: In recent years, the grounds for enhancing research at Qom University of Technology have been established. The growth of ISI and Scopus article statistics, the increase in patents registered by professors and students, the launching of the first collaborative space in the province, etc., are all results of the focus on research at the university.
The president of Qom University of Technology stated: The establishment of a high-speed computing center, the doubling of laboratory and workshop space, the growth of library books, the launch of a digital library, and the establishment of a startup empowerment club (Beta) are all stimulants for enhancing research that professors and students should utilize to the best of their ability.
Following this, Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Dr. Ghorbani Mobin, the head of the Representative Office of the Supreme Leader at the university, congratulated Research Week and identified the nation's primary need at this time as research, adding: Ethics and spirituality must accompany knowledge and research to foster the growth and advancement of humanity.
Dr. Heydari, the Vice President for Academic and Research Affairs, reported on the rise in published articles by professors, the increase in research contracts, and the rise in patents registered by professors, announcing the scientific and research expansion of Qom University of Technology.
Finally, outstanding researchers from the university were honored. Dr. Mahnaz Mohammadi, Dr. Mohammad Karimi, and Mehrzad Ghorbani were recognized as the top three researchers from the School of Basic Sciences.
Dr. Saeed Hassan Zadeh, Dr. Mahbubeh Shamsi, and Dr. Mehdi Bakrani were acknowledged as the top three researchers from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
Dr. Mohammad Fadaei was named the first researcher, Dr. Beitollah Badrlou was the second, and Dr. Mohsen Mohammadi and Dr. Abdolreza Karimi were the third researchers recognized from the School of Technical and Engineering Science.
Additionally, Dr. Seyed Mohammad Dehghan was recognized as the top technologist in the province, Dr. Jafar Ghafari as the top technologist at the university, and Dr. Mojtaba Heydari as the top innovator at the university.
Among the top student researchers, Davood Haji Taqi Tehrani, Ali Allahiari, and Ehsan Badfar were honored.
Dr. Jala Rezai Noor, Dr. Mahbubeh Shamsi, Dr. Ehsan Najafi, Behrouz Bayat, Mona Gashtasbi, Mohsen Taheri, Zahra Bagheri, Mehdi Beigham, Mohammad Hossein Qasemi, Mohammad Amin Karimi, and Mohammad Saleh Rezai were recognized as book donors.
Furthermore, Reihaneh Fashangi and Mohammad Hossein Ali Asghar Nejad were acknowledged and appreciated as collaborators in the field of industry and academia.
