According to the Public Relations of the University: On the occasion of Dormitory Week, the Half of Sha'ban, and the Day of Resistance and Sacrifice, a celebratory event was held by the Student and Cultural Affairs Department with the presence of the Board of Trustees, staff, and students at the Shahid Akhundi Conference Hall of Qom University of Technology.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Khoshnavisan congratulated everyone on the holidays and the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr, sharing memories of how people fought during the eight years of Sacred Defense. He added, "Just a few minutes before the liberation of Khorramshahr, we were holding a meeting to plan operations for its liberation when Mr. Mahmoud Karimi Alavijeh, with a memorable voice, announced that Khorramshahr has been liberated. A few years later in England, I happened to see Mr. Karimi, who, like us, was preparing to continue his studies there, and we asked him to repeat that unforgettable phrase ‘Khorramshahr has been liberated’ with the same feeling and spirit once more.
The president of Qom University of Technology regarded the university as a platform for growth and emphasized that living in the dormitory teaches us a form of interaction, participation, and camaraderie.
Furthermore, Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Karimzadeh, a researcher at the Specialized Center for Mahdism, spoke about the emergence of new spiritualities and false claimants to Mahdism, stating: "The enemies of the regime attempt to undermine people's beliefs through false propaganda and cultural assaults, and one of our duties is to have correct knowledge and understanding of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance)."
He stated: "One of the ways to mislead people from authentic religious values is the promotion of sectarianism by the enemies, which used to be publicly antagonistic to Islam but today happens through soft approaches and equivalency.
This cleric from the Qom seminary said: "Emerging sects present special cultural packages that actually equivalate to authentic religious values.
He continued: "They do not directly force people to retreat from religious principles; rather, they lead societal thoughts astray through indirect methods.

Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Karimzadeh named the news network 'BBC' as one of the promoters of emerging sects, stating: "This news network introduces new sects to Islamic societies through its programs.
He added that media literacy among the public must be improved, saying: "In European countries, before launching social networks, they enhance the media literacy of the people, whereas in our country, such actions are not observed.
Karimzadeh said: "Today, the Western front stands against the Islamic front and is seeking to change the mindset among Muslims through sects.
He expressed: "Moreover, the Western front is investing heavily in cultural aggression to change attitudes and values.
This cleric from the seminary noted: "They have easily attacked the thoughts of Islamic communities using the virtual space and social networks.
The researcher and scholar from the Specialized Center for Mahdism in Qom emphasized: "Correct recognition of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) from the perspective of the Qur'an and narrations is the best way to counter false claimants."
The celebration continued with humorous contests and sharing memories regarding the liberation of Khorramshahr by Mr. Bakhti from the fighters of the Sacred Defense era.
At the end, the dormitory supervisors, top performers in the sports and cultural competitions, and students from Unit 3 of Imam Reza (PBUH) Dormitory, Room 4 of Razavan Dormitory, and Room 4109 of Mofid Dormitory were recognized as exemplary rooms with awards and certificates of appreciation presented as a token of gratitude.
