Qom University of Technology Ranked 1,100th Globally in UI GreenMetric 2025
According to the Public Relations Office of Qom University of Technology, the results of the 15th edition of the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025 have been released. The ranking is recognized as one of the most comprehensive and معتبر global benchmarks for evaluating sustainability and green development in universities.
In this edition of the ranking, more than 1,745 universities from 105 countries around the world were comprehensively evaluated. Using a set of detailed indicators, the ranking assesses the performance of higher education institutions in key areas, including environmental protection, resource management, climate change mitigation, and the transition toward sustainable universities.
The main objectives of the ranking are to foster constructive competition among universities worldwide, raise awareness and encourage practical action in response to environmental challenges, and promote innovative solutions in areas such as clean energy, water consumption optimization, waste management and recycling, green transportation, and the development of interdisciplinary education and research in sustainability.
According to the announced results, Qom University of Technology, with a score of 4,797.5 points, achieved 1,100th place globally and ranked 26th among the participating Iranian universities in the 2025 assessment.
It is worth noting that the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings was established by Universitas Indonesia (UI) and annually evaluates the green initiatives and sustainability performance of universities around the world with increasing scope and precision.
