The National Research and Technology Week is an opportunity to focus on various aspects of research and technology in the country, allowing all stakeholders to be informed about existing trends and conditions, so they can plan better and more important initiatives for the future. Choosing and introducing the selected individuals in the fields of research and technology and honoring them, along with creating opportunities for interaction among stakeholders through various methods such as exhibitions, technology fairs, conferences, seminars, and press and radio-television interviews, creates a space in the country that enhances the status of research and technology while solidifying the foundation for the continuous strengthening and development of research and technology, which is crucial for the actual progress of the country and for generating wealth, welfare, and security for the people in social and cultural dimensions. Since 2000, to promote the culture of research, the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology has designated the fourth week of Azar (December) as Research Week, considering the designation of December 15th as Research Day by the Supreme Council of Cultural Public, and the responsibility for organizing this week has been entrusted to the Research Office of this Ministry.
