Orientation session for new students of 1394 College of Basic Sciences

According to the university's public relations: An orientation session for incoming students of the Faculty of Basic Sciences was held on Tuesday, October 5, 2015, in the Shahid Akhondi Conference Hall, with the presence of Dr. Khodkhoon, the president of the university, and the faculty members of the Faculty of Basic Sciences.
Initially, Dr. Ghobani, the head of the Faculty of Basic Sciences, introduced the holy city of Qom and Qom Industrial University. He added that the establishment of an industrial university in Qom province is essential, stating: "In addition to being the capital of Islam, the holy city of Qom has become one of Iran's industrial hubs due to its location along the routes to cities like Isfahan, Arak, and Tehran, along with the presence of industrial towns; hence, the establishment of such a university will further boost the industry here."
Continuing, Dr. Khodkhoon, the university president, welcomed the new students and stated that the primary duty of every student is to study and research. He noted that the newly established university holds a relatively good acceptance ranking compared to prominent universities. Our students can enhance the academic standing of the university by studying diligently and advancing to higher levels at reputable universities.
He added: To address issues and receive feedback from students, a time will be announced later so that you can visit me with prior appointment.
Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Akhoundzadeh, the representative of the Office of the Supreme Leader in the university, welcomed the students and expressed condolences for the recent incidents in Mina. He referred to the beneficial tradition of marriage, stating: "In addition to studying, getting married and being an exemplary spouse are also among your responsibilities as students. The Office of the Supreme Leader offers a safe space for guidance in this regard, and I hope you can establish a successful family with a right choice."
