According to the Public Relations Office of Qom University of Technology, in line with enhancing information technology services and improving communication infrastructure, the internet quota and speed for faculty members, staff, and students at Qom University of Technology have been increased.
Ms. Faridouni, Head of the IT Development, Security, and Smartization Department at Qom University of Technology, announced this news and said:
With the aim of facilitating access for university members to online services and providing a suitable platform for educational and research activities, as of October 12, 2025, the university's internet quota and speed have been significantly increased. Accordingly, internet speed has been upgraded from 100 Mbps to 200 Mbps.
Additionally, based on these changes:
PhD students' internet quota: increased from 2 GB monthly to 10 GB weekly.
Master's students: increased from 1 GB monthly to 7 GB weekly.
Bachelor's students: increased from 500 MB monthly to 4 GB weekly.
She added: The internet quota will be updated weekly, and there is no possibility of storing unused quota for subsequent weeks.
Ms. Faridouni concluded by noting: This action has been taken to achieve the goals of smartizing the university and increasing the satisfaction of the university community members, and its continuity will depend on optimal usage management.
