According to the public relations of the university: Dr. Jalal Rezaei Noor, President of Qom University of Technology, in an interview with the Student News Agency, referred to the statements of the Supreme Leader regarding the attention of the student mobilization to scientific activities, and said: So far, initial measures have been taken to implement two industrial projects in collaboration with Qom University of Technology and the Marine Growth Center of the IRGC.
Dr. Rezaei Noor announced the allocation of funds for these two projects and said: These projects are being carried out with the collaboration of the Industry Relations Office of Qom University of Technology and the student mobilization and are currently in the stage of providing initial training to the students.
The President of Qom University of Technology stated that before this, the Marine Corps had pursued its projects with major universities, and said: We are the first university at the provincial level to have taken on projects at this level.
He referred to the fact that military industries are defined as one of the top technologies in the world, and continued: Many inventions and technological innovations result from military industries that researchers and scholars have produced for military industries.
The President of Qom University of Technology emphasized that one of the important areas of military industries' need for universities lies in the localization of these industries, stating: This localization of military and defense industries, under the sanctions we are experiencing, becomes even more necessary.
He indicated that military industries typically negotiate with academics and industry practitioners regarding any problem or issue based on its dimensions, and they delegate their projects.
Dr. Rezaei Noor pointed out the importance of paying attention to micro-industries and components in the localization of military industries, and added: Sometimes to troubleshoot and assemble a large component in the industry, it is necessary to have access to smaller components and solve the problem at the lower layers of parts so that we can assemble larger layers and produce the product.
He stated that in the memorandum of cooperation with the IRGC, students initially receive training to gain a preliminary understanding of military industries, and then we proceed with the next steps.
The President of Qom University of Technology added: The lifespan of technical and industrial universities in Qom province may not be very long; however, the effort to achieve localized industry and the development of industries is a goal that the officials and students of this province have set for themselves and are striving to reach it.
