According to the university's public relations: The president and officials of Qom Industrial University met with Ayatollah Alavi Gorgani on the occasion of the 9th of Rabi' al-Awwal, the beginning of the Imamate of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his return).
Ayatollah Alavi Gorgani stated that today, the 9th of Rabi' al-Awwal, marks the anniversary of the beginning of the Imamate of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his return). He added: The foundations and principles of Mahdism must be taught to youth and students, and we should clarify the reasons for the existence of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his return) and which verses of the Holy Quran necessitate his presence.
He emphasized: We must raise awareness among the youth about the reasons for the delay in the appearance of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his return). If young people and students become aware of these issues, they will become strong and insightful in this path.
This source of emulation continued: There are many resources available in this area that should be utilized in classrooms and various meetings to enhance students' awareness of Mahdism issues.
Furthermore, Rezai Noor said: This university is located at the junction of the three provinces of Tehran, Markazi, and Isfahan, placing it in a strategic and unique position and can significantly influence the growth, advancement, and industrial development of the country.
He added: Qom Industrial University, with three faculties in technical and engineering, electrical and computer, and basic sciences, hosts 2,000 students from all over the country, particularly from Qom and Tehran.
He stated: Given the special status of the holy city of Qom, among about 20 industrial universities in the country, this university is one of the impactful scientific and educational centers in the country. For example, the superior hijab, meaning chador, has been accepted among female students.
Rezai Noor, while referring to this university's cultural programs for the current academic year, mentioned that over the past three months, 14 excursions to the Holy Jamkaran Mosque have been held for male and female students, and last week was designated as Quran Week at the university, with significant initiatives to encourage and inspire students to engage with the enlightening concepts of the Quran.
He noted that Quranic competitions will continue until the end of the year and added: The modesty and hijab committee has been activated at the university, and throughout this semester, various meetings, including discussions on the best coverage, forums on superior hijab, and the consequences of being single, will be held for both female and male students.
The president of Qom Industrial University continued: Establishing a research group on the works of the martyr Professor Motahhari and holding various religious ceremonies are among the other cultural activities at Qom Industrial University.
