The representative of the people of Qom in the Islamic Consultative Assembly: Qom University of Technology must lead by training efficient engineers, surpassing non-governmental universities.

According to the public relations office of the university: Amir Abadi Farahani, a member of the board of trustees and representative of the people of Qom in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, announced during a meeting with the university’s benefactors that the implementation of Article 23 is being pursued to allocate a budget line for the construction of the Faculty of Engineering at Qom University of Technology on the 9th kilometer of the Qom-Tehran highway.

The second meeting of the benefactors of Qom University of Technology was held in the university with the presence of Amir Abadi Farahani. Amir Abadi stated: The current conditions in Islamic Iran are very sensitive. The enemy is attempting to strike the sacred establishment of the Islamic Republic through economic pressures.
He added: The people of Iran stood firm against the enemy and emerged victorious while following the guidelines of the leader during the toughest circumstances. In places where the people shrank back and were not present, they faced defeat.
He emphasized the importance of proper management and planning in implementing construction projects, saying: We must accept that one of our weaknesses is the lack of thorough studies and strong structural plans in construction projects. For example, 110 major cities around the world are located near ports because they capitalize on opportunities effectively. Unfortunately, the cities bordering Iran's ports are among the poorest in the country.
Amir Abadi noted: Officials in universities should not allow external factors to affect the scientific missions and duties of the university. It does not matter what political spectrum or group the distractions come from; we will not allow the values of the nation to be undermined in universities, nor will we let them deviate from the path of science, thought, construction, and development.

He pointed out the establishment of universities and educational centers without proper feasibility studies and territorial planning, saying: Given the increase in educational centers in Qom, private educational institutions should not harm public universities or promote degree-seeking behaviors. A university like Qom University of Technology should lead by training efficient engineers to set an example for private universities. The expectations of provincial officials from this university are that it fulfills its mission through entering the industry, creating entrepreneurship, and generating employment.
Regarding the merger of universities, he said: We will stand firmly against the merger of the provincial public universities. The three public universities in Qom—Qom University, Qom University of Technology, and Hazrat Masoumeh (SA)—must continue to operate with independent identities and structures.
Additionally, Rezaei Nour, the president of Qom University of Technology, welcomed the attendees, saying: Thanks to God and the support of provincial and national officials, this university, covering 6 hectares, offers 23 undergraduate and master's degree programs and accommodates 2,000 students from across the country, especially from Qom and Tehran.
He stated: Given that the technical and engineering programs at this university are among the fields that generate employment and are attractive, we hope to fulfill our role and share effectively in the province and country.

The president of Qom University of Technology spoke about the recent initiatives undertaken by the university, stating: A 30% increase in educational space through the establishment of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Faculty, with an area of 530 square meters; the establishment of the Martyr Moshkueh Library; the establishment of the Martyr Shahriari Sports Hall with an area of 450 square meters; the establishment of the University Benefactors Foundation; the equipping of the university's conference hall; the initial actions to develop a comprehensive land plan for the university; the leveling and landscaping of the university; and preliminary measures for establishing an artificial turf field and outdoor sports area are among the activities carried out in recent months to graciously host students for the new academic year.
He added, emphasizing the strategic position of Qom province: Given the proximity of Qom University of Technology to the industrial estates of Ghadir, Shokohieh, Hosseinabad, Mahmoudabad, and the Selachagan free economic zone, along with the position of Qom University of Technology as a representative for the universities of Tehran, we hope to play our role effectively in the province and the country.

Rezaei Nour added that currently, 12 innovative industrial projects by the professors of Qom University of Technology are underway to address the industrial challenges of the province.
He said: Currently, Qom University of Technology has many scientific and research achievements, including ranking seventh in national nanotechnology competitions, second in national submarine construction competitions, and the selection of the university as the secretariat for the national mathematical physics conference. Furthermore, for the first time in the country, Qom University of Technology is implementing the industry partner program where students, with the assistance of professors, enter factories and directly identify industrial issues to resolve them, significantly aiding the province's industry while also gaining employment during their academic tenure.
The president of Qom University of Technology expressed: We hope that with the unwavering support of Dr. Amir Abadi in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, we will witness a growth in budget and further prosperity for this university.

In conclusion, Amir Abadi Farahani, member of the board of trustees and representative of the people of Qom in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, along with the benefactors of Qom University of Technology, visited the university's construction projects.
