According to the Public Relations Office of the University: A meeting of directors and industrialists coinciding with Skills Week was held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, in the conference hall of the Guild Complex, attended by Dr. Akhundi, the president of Qom University of Technology, Dr. Attareniya, the director-general of the Technical and Vocational Organization of the province, and the managers of industrial factories in Qom province.
At the beginning of this meeting, Dr. Ali Pour stated that enhancing education leads to increased productivity. He added: With education, the efficiency of factories and the industry increases; thus, in a way, education is considered an investment.
He emphasized the construction of more than ten technical and vocational centers in the province, specifying that the Technical and Vocational Organization has undertaken the training of twenty-four thousand individuals, considering the existing facilities.
Furthermore, Dr. Mohammad Sadegh Akhundi, the president of Qom University of Technology, condemned the recent crimes of the Zionist regime and commemorated Skills Week by referring to modern technologies, including hypermedia. He considered the future-oriented science in universities and industries to be a very important matter and a significant challenge, asserting that if we do not take today's skills seriously, we have not taken future technologies seriously.
Dr. Akhundi acknowledged that with eleven technical and engineering fields at the bachelor’s level and nine fields at the master’s level in Qom University of Technology, along with the presence of experienced professors and dynamic, creative students, this university will play a leading role in the industrial development of the province through the planned programs. Additionally, to promote unity and solidarity between industry and academia and to advance the industry in the province, Qom University of Technology intends to cover fifty percent of the costs of contracts made by factories and industrialists with this university. He regarded the implementation of this plan as a very favorable opportunity for executing large industrial projects in the province, enhancing production and revenue generation in the industry, and expanding the job market.
The president of Qom University of Technology added: Competition in industry means envisioning the future and planning for it. The more we monitor the future of the industry, the better the future awaits us.
