According to the public relations department of the university; Ms. Faridouni, the head of technology and information at Qom Industrial University, stated that the suspension of classes has not disrupted the educational process at the university. She elaborated on the activities carried out to provide better services to students in the area of virtual education at the university:
1- Launching the ADOBE CONNECT software for conducting virtual classes and some internal meetings of vice presidencies, such as association meetings.
2- Equipping the necessary server with processing capabilities, storage space, etc., to enhance user experience with the software.
3- Providing the necessary internet bandwidth for the server to prevent any disruptions.
4- Designing and linking virtual classes on the university's website, where the classes of each faculty have been categorized and classified.
5- Creating separate guideline files for professors and students, as well as placing the link to the installation file on the university's main site, and resolving issues for users connecting to the software.
6- Defining 250 classes to be conducted virtually and offering them to esteemed professors.
7- Providing 24/7 support for all services related to virtual education.
It is noteworthy that so far, 248 out of 250 classes have been held, with the highest number of classes conducted on Tuesday, 12/12/1398, totaling 90 classes, and an average of about 20 users per class.
Additionally, considering the attention of the esteemed Minister of Communications and Information Technology, 100 GB of internet usage will be allocated to fixed internet users, but we are still following up with the Ministry of Science and Technology to reduce the data usage for users.
Ms. Faridouni also added that at this university, all educational affairs, including virtual training classes and all student requests (loans, nutrition, etc.), are being carried out through the electronic service desk, and with the measures taken, even scientific association meetings and other cultural and student programs at this university are being held via web conferencing.
