The commemoration ceremony for Student Day at Qom University of Technology

According to the Public Relations of the university: The commemoration ceremony for Student Day was held with the presence of Dr. Amir Abadi Farahani, a member of the Board of Trustees and representative of the people of Qom in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, in the Shahid Akhund Hall of Qom University of Technology.

In this ceremony, Dr. Amir Abadi congratulated Student Day and discussed the philosophy of December 7. He stated: "Today, as we gather here in safety and tranquility, it is due to the sacrifices of the martyrs. We are forever indebted to those who, through their martyrdom, brought freedom and security to us."
He added: "Students must be demanding. They should ask officials to clarify all matters transparently for the people. This transparency is the right of the people. For instance, the transparency of the officials' salaries, properties, and assets through registration in relevant systems for the awareness of the people and monitoring bodies is one of the ways to prevent financial and economic corruption."
The representative of the people of Qom in the Islamic Consultative Assembly said: "Corruption does not recognize reformists or conservatives. The people have the right to know the positions of their elected representatives, but some officials refuse to do this. Of course, in this matter, students play an important role. They must demand transparency from the officials."
A member of the Board of Trustees of the Islamic Consultative Assembly regarding the advancements and achievements of the Islamic Revolution said: "It is a source of pride that Islamic Iran ranks second in the world in producing stem cells and fourth in the world in the construction and production of missiles. The fear and terror of our enemies are due to Iran's advancement. For this reason, the enemies have prevented us from peaceful nuclear activities."
Dr. Amir Abadi, regarding FATF, said: "Currently, 198 countries are members of FATF either directly or through nine regional groups. Among these, 37 countries with large and developed economies are members of the main organization. FATF issued forty-nine recommendations in 2012 as standards for this organization to combat money laundering and terrorist financing, which member countries were obliged to either pass laws to comply with these recommendations or enhance their existing laws."
He added: "FATF has placed 9 countries on its blacklist in recent years, and Iran has consistently been at the top of this list. We accept the conditions of FATF without being admitted. Four bills of the Convention on Combating the Financing of Terrorism or CFT have been voted on and approved in the Assembly. Why do the representatives who voted either positively or negatively on this bill hide their votes? Such dual behavior is considered hypocrisy in Islam."
The representative of the people of Qom in the Islamic Consultative Assembly said: "In Iran, ninety-two thousand liters of gasoline are consumed daily. Fortunately, with the construction of the Persian Gulf Star Refinery, we have become self-sufficient in gasoline, but we must also consider proper consumption and equitable distribution. In this regard, the country's research center has prepared plans that are under review. Students can significantly assist the government in these matters. We welcome your proposals with open arms."
Dr. Amir Abadi, in response to student questions about the current building of this university, said: "As a representative of this city, I am not satisfied with the space and building of this university. This building is not befitting of the industrial university of the province. Given the lack of budget for construction projects in the government, I am pursuing this issue with the utmost seriousness.

In continuation, Hojjat al-Islam and Muslims, Dr. Ghorbani, the head of the office of the representative of the Supreme Leader in the university, congratulated Student Day and said: "Scholars and seekers of knowledge hold a special place in Islam. So much so that it is narrated in the Hadiths that scholars are like stars for the people, illuminating the path for everyone with their brilliance."

He added: "It is gratifying that students express their demands with freedom and confidence. The office of the representative of the Supreme Leader warmly welcomes all of you, and like the Supreme Leader, who protects the nation, this office, following the method and approach of the Supreme Leader, supports all revolutionary and loyal students.

At the end, Dr. Razaei Noor, in a hot seat, congratulated Student Day and appreciated Dr. Amir Abadi's good opinion towards Qom University of Technology, stating that stability and tranquility are among the most important indicators affecting the performance of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and added: "It is hoped that with the positive outlook of relevant officials, especially the representatives of Qom province in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, we will witness the resolution of existing controversies regarding the impeachment of the Minister of Science, Research, and Technology."

The President of Qom University of Technology called for greater dynamism and vitality among the students at the university and added: "With the round-the-clock efforts of the university officials, your demands are being met, and I am personally following the students' requests."

He added: "My expectation and demand from you students is that during your studies, you engage in scientific and research projects with complete dynamism alongside your professors, and the university officials will spare no effort in assisting you."

Appreciation of cultural activists and reading the statement of the Islamic Society and Student Basij organizations were among the other programs of this ceremony.
