According to the university's public relations office, the head of the Entrepreneurship and Industry Relations Department at Qom Industrial University announced the implementation of the KAHAD skills training program at Qom Industrial University.
He said: The KAHAD skills training program is designed as a combination of educational and skill-based courses that run concurrently with classical education for students.
Dr. Rasti added: The goal of implementing the KAHAD skills training program is to familiarize students with skills that align with the labor market needs of their respective fields of study. The KAHAD program is part of the strategic policy framework set by the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare in 2021, titled "Enhancing the Skill Capabilities of University Graduates," which has been pursued since 2019 through the establishment of "Skill Management and Employment Consultation" centers under the TMC title at universities and higher education institutions. It is currently being implemented with the assistance of the Technical and Vocational Organization in universities.
He further stated: This program is offered in 4 sectors: industry, services, agriculture, and culture and arts, tailored according to students’ interests and aligned with equivalency tables and competency standards. It is defined and equated based on the international ISCO code for 500 to 700 hours.
Dr. Rasti added: These educational and skill-based courses are conducted alongside specialized courses for students, particularly in engineering fields, allowing them to participate and receive training in a specific area of interest while pursuing their studies.
The head of the Entrepreneurship and Industry Relations Department at Qom Industrial University said: Given the quality of the KAHAD skills training courses, the costs are significantly lower compared to those of free institutions, and part of that cost is also covered by the university.
